How It Began?

Malantai used to work for an orphanage where only boys were allowed. During that time she came across news about rape of a small street side orphaned girl. Overwhelmed by the desire to help in some way, she provided shelter to a bihari girl against the opposition from Dada. Finally she had to leave the girl with her maternal uncle as Dada was not ready to cooperate. But when they went there to leave the child, the girl was not ready to leave Malantai and started crying saying “Don’t leave me here mother”. Dada could not handle that and consented to keep her and that was just a beginning.
