About Us

Niradhar Balsangopan Anath Ashram was started by Ms. Malan Balu Tulve with three children. The institute was registered with the Government of India as official orphanage in April 2000 (F/17372).

Mrs. Malan or better known as Aai (Mother in Marathi) provides shelter and schooling to these children. The home based activity, which started with three children now supports 31 children between the age group 3 to 14. Aai and dada (Mr. Tulve) have been raising these children as parents and do not provide for adoption. One girl was married off when a good proposal reached them. She is happy and resides with her family in Pune.

Malantai runs the institute from her home at Gulab Kate chawl in Dapodi, Pune. We have taken a two level structure for boy’s residence. Apart from these, we have rented a hall and a small room as kitchen.
Dada looks after all the boys and helps them with their studies. Malantai with the help of elder girls and a domestic help handles the kitchen and other household chores.
